Our Story

Paola and Amy joined together to re-open Kiv Café, maintaining the same level of quality and serving the same signature coffee that has been enjoyed by regular customers since 2020.
Clarita Coffee is grown and harvested locally, in the high-altitude mountains of Turrialba according to old traditions - slowly - and with great care. The beans are only picked when ripe, and artesanal processes are used in order to extract the smoothest flavor from the beans.

After two years of regularly hanging out at Kiv Café, the owners announced they wanted to put all their time into their coffee farm. When she learned that Kiv was closing, she was horrified! The café was the only place in Turrialba to find quality coffee, food made from scratch, and a relaxed, quiet atmosphere for studying, mobile office work, or just visiting with friends. She decided that she could not live without the coffee shop in her life, so she worked with her friend Paola to open.

It truly is a one-of-a-kind experience in Turrialba!
